About Us

Mission

The Vallon Institute is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit entrepreneurial think tank who researches, develops, and applies resilient, open-source solutions to the root causes of unhealthy and unsustainable living.

The Institute

At the Vallon Institute we constantly ask two questions: “Why?” and “How can this be done better?” While some things should not be done at all, many others can be done better, however, most industries and individuals are slow to change. This unresilient, unadaptable mentality is creating many unwanted problems and consequences. Not only is the United States in dire need of innovative change, but so too is the rest of the world. We are at a pivotal point in our history where WE can make a difference, and WE must. While our ancestors industrialized, containerized, televised, technologized, and unfortunately supersized our lives, it is our turn to learn from their mistakes and find a way to create and ensure a healthy, sustainable life for ourselves and future generations.

So where do we start? Well, take a minute and look around. What do you see? Now ask yourself the two simple questions “Why?” and “How can this be done better?” After determining the why, if you realize that it can be done better, congratulations! You have just realized a problem exists. The Vallon Institute seeks to bring yourself and other like-minded individuals together to see and fix the problems facing us today. We don’t see a need to proprietize solutions that will greatly benefit a single individual, company, or organization. So, all of our solutions will be open-sourced with the goal of having all individuals, organizations, and companies adopt them in order to ensure sweeping and lasting change.

Vallon’s solutions are derived through initiatives. These initiatives focus on a single problem or group of problems that share a common root cause. Our founders seek out industry and academic subject matter experts for each initiative and work with them to research the problem and develop a sustainable, healthy solution. Vallon then open-sources the solution and monitors its successes and failures. At Vallon we realize that a solution to a problem today may not work tomorrow, a year from now, or 20 years from now so we develop solutions that are simple, resilient, healthy, and efficient.

Change is both necessary and inevitable. It is up to you to decide whether you are going to sit back and watch the world fly by or if you are going to make a difference. Sustainability, efficiency, transparency, and health are the way of the future and the Vallon Institute will be leading this change.
